A one-of-one, hand-painted chassis—the structural foundation of a Land Rover Series III 109—conceived as a functional work of art.
Executed entirely by hand and never to be repeated, the chassis transforms a foundational mechanical element into a collectible object. Distinct from the vehicle’s body or coachwork, it represents the point of origin—where structure, craftsmanship, and authorship converge.
Blank Canvas
Unlike traditional automotive customization, this chassis was approached as a blank canvas—its form respected, its surface transformed. The artwork responds to the structure itself, following its lines, joints, and geometry rather than concealing them.
The result is not decoration, but authorship: a permanent, unrepeatable expression embedded within the vehicle’s physical foundation.
Commission
Ramble Rovers undertakes a limited number of commissions each year. Every vehicle is built individually, guided by our standards and shaped through a considered dialogue with each client.
The process begins privately and unfolds deliberately—from initial consultation through specification, restoration, and delivery.
Lead times are intentional. Outcomes are enduring.
